Cloud computing is the ability to purchase computer system resources and power from someone else’s datacenter. People who purchase this can lower operating costs. In cloud computing, there are different type cloud model and services. Companies can choose what kind of services and models to benefit them. There are three types of cloud models and three services:
Cloud Models
Public Cloud: This model is available to anyone who wants to purchase their services over the internet. It is operated by a third-party cloud provider.
Private Cloud: Can be hosted by a third-party service provider or on-premises datacenter It is private and only used by the users from one organization.
Hybrid Cloud: Hybrid Cloud is a computing environment that combines private and public cloud.
Cloud Services
Infrastructure-as-a-Service: The customer is responsible for the underlying IT service examples are keeping up-to date hardware and network configuration.
Platform-as-a-Service: The customer is only responsible to manage the applications. The service provider oversees the infrastructure such as the operating system and hardware.
Software-as-a-Service: The service provider is fully responsible with the product and manages it.
